having bad spark plugs could effect how the spark sparks and when it sparks. new plugs is never a bad idea
Intake manifold gaskets are leaking, intake manifold is warped.
Most likely you have a misfire caused by an intake manifold gasket leak at #1 cylinder. That or basic misfire stuff like spark plugs or ignition wires. Check the intake
That would probably cause it to run lean.
Yes, if the intake blocks access to the spark plugs.
you must remove upper intake manifold to access these plugs
Not sure what an XTL is, but usually when spark plugs are under an intake you should remove the intake to replace them. Don't forget to buy a new intake manifold gasket BEFORE you take the car apart.
Under the intake manifold.
you have to remve the intake manifold
You will need to remove the air intake manifold under this you will find the glow plugs Can you help I am a novice and not sure how to take to air intake manifold off? thanks
in the middle, under the air intake manifold there is a black piece of plastic and the plugs are under there, the inlet manifold has to be removed as well...
You have to remove the upper intake manifold.
you have to take the intake manifold off which is a monster, and just pull the plugs and take the 6 plugs out
