I've read that bad u-joints can cause a cracked transmission case. I've also read that bad mounts, shafts out of alignment, jumping the vehicle, engaging the transmission at high RPM, can cause transmission cases to crack.
That would be your throttle Positioning Sensor. Basically it tells your computer how much you have the throttle opened. If the sensor is bad or loose it will cause your Injectors to pulse Hench not allowing your engine to climb RPM's.
Hey Gary==THere is a rev limiter but it should be at about 6000 RPM. I would change the fuel filter and see if that helped. GoodluckJoe -- What else does it do? Does it just stay at that rpm and not shift, or at that rpm does it just bog down? Keep us posted. =) Boost
