Assuming his name is not on the lease or mortgage, you simply tell him to leave and call the police if he won't. A sneakier way to do it would be to wait until he's gone and toss all of his stuff onto the porch and then lock him out. I'd advice changing locks if you already gave him a key and he won't give it back.
