I what I'm trying to find out too!. I have braces and every time they tighten them, my face hurts underneath my tongue (Sort of where your glands are). It's like muscle pain.
Well I guess I'm not the only one :)
Braces are supposed to correct TMJ problems, unless the treatment was badly done, or that there is something else wrong with your jaws.
Yes.
About 20% of patients may have ear pain
A retainer can in certain situations cause ear pain. This could be the case if the user grinds teeth for example.
I don't know but I am experiencing it. Did you ever find an answer?
Yes . I have had ear pain for 2 weeks now after a shot by the dentist. There was a nerve hit . what can you do about this pain
Absolutely. An infection typically causes swelling and pain, and if it is not treated, or if the antibiotic is not working quickly enough, the swelling and pain can spread. Another common ailment that causes swelling and pain on the face could be a tooth infection. If you have not seen a doctor already, please do so as soon as you can, because infections spread if not treated, and can get into your blood and cause severe problems (plus, it's just going to hurt worse and worse).
Yes
yes, you will sufficate and die.
Very loud sounds, starting at about 125 decibels can cause ear pain or ear damage.
Possibly, if the allergy causes swelling of the eustachian tube and/or of the middle ear.
I had shingles in my left ear 17 months ago, it has taken me this long to regain movement in the left side of my face. My balance is still off a little, But I do have ringing in my left ear. I never had this before having shingles. I have not been to an ear specialist but plan to go to see if this can be treated. I still have a very tender sore place on my face in front of my ear and nerve pain on the left side of my face.
Yes, as the pain from the throat and/or tonsils can be referred to the ear, or the ear itself can become infected along with the throat infection caused by strep. Swelling in the Eustachian tube between the middle ear and throat can cause fluid and pressure to build up in the middle ear causing pain as well.
Tonsillitis can cause a bunch of referred pain to the surrounding areas. Many people experience ear pain and jaw pain with tonsillitis. I have also had pain in my molars. Hot liquids can relieve some of the pain.
