Your wedding, your choice. The bridesmaids can wear whatever color you and your groom decide is OK (assuming, of course, you're paying for the wedding. Parents who are paying tend to want a say in what's done, too.)
The Pope and a virginal bride.
During weddings the bridesmaids generally do not wear white on their heads. The bride can wear white on her head however, she does not have to.

You can wear whatever color you want, but white is the traditional color and it may be hard to find a wedding dress that isn't white. The grooms always look better in black. Don't let the bridesmaids look better than you.
Yes, the only person who wears white is the bride.
No, the Maid of Honor or anyone else in the wedding part or any guests should not wear the same color (white) as the bride as she is the focal point (it is her day of glory.) It is fine to wear black and white or another color and white. The Maid of Honor generally wears a slightly different color than the bridesmaids. Example: Bridesmaids are in light blue then the Maid of Honor may be in a midnight blue.
Depending on the role played in the wedding, attire for the wedding dance varies. The bride traditionally wears a white wedding dress and the groom a tuxedo or suit. The bridesmaids typically wear the outfits assigned by the bride. Guests of the wedding should avoid white or black and should wear an outfit appropriate for the type of wedding taking into account formality and a possible theme.
well it looks like it because all the bridesmaids wore white in the royal wedding. But I think that is only for western culture?? because in the East we don't have bridesmaids and if we do, I don't think they have to wear white because the bride dosne't. Hope it helped :D

Because cream is very close the white, worn by the bride. The thinking is that no one should upstage the bride. She is the queen for the day so don't do anything that might interfere with that. A cream dress could compete with the bride or take some attention away from her. Not sure if I agree or disagree, but that's the reasoning behind it.
it is usually ok if it is an off white. but usually only the bride wears white. so i would advise to wear a color or a shade of brown
