Best Answer

No, not in the wild. They just love the tinned cat food that most contain fish because many cats love eating smelly foods such as fish.
Fish is one of the main meats in a cat's diet, so most likely yes.

They are allowed to eat certain types of fish, but only as a treat as fish does not meet all the nutritional requirements. I know they are not allowed to eat canned tuna (too much phosphorous) and raw fish.

Yes, because cats are naturally carnivores in the wild. In the case of a house cat, however, you should only be feeding it cat food.

ADD:

Just to expand on the first answer, yes, cats can eat fish, but this should never be the sole food source for a cat as a fish does not meet the cat's nutritional requirements. In the wild, a cat's main food source is mice, birds and other small animals. Most cats will only hunt fish if there is no other food source available.

Fish should be fed to pet cats as an occasional treat, or as part of nutritionally complete cat food.
