There is no particular reason why cleaning should make someone have a seizure. Stress and strain can be a trigger for some people, but work like cleaning should not do so.
More likely fatigue or even watching television would trigger a seizure.
That may not be easy to do, so it is better to wait until the seizure is over, which may not be long. There is no particular reason to take it during a seizure that cannot wait until it is over.
If someone has never had a seizure before, he/she needs to go to the ER for evaluation. If the person has had a seizure before, he/she needs to follow the direction of the doctor that treats the seizures.
You may have just undergone a dramatic experience then later fell into a seizure under stress
A petit mal seizure lasts 15-20 seconds. When it ends, the individual resumes whatever he or she was doing before the seizure began, will not remember the seizure, and may not realize that anything unusual happened.
The seizure usually lasts less than 10 seconds but may be as long as one minute.
1) Prodrome phase (in which visual auras can be experienced or, in some cases, olfactory hallucinations). 2) Ictal phase (in which the seizure activity, itself, occurs). 3) Post-ictal phase (in which the individual does not usually remember the events that occurred just prior to and during the seizure).
Anti-seizure medications such as carbamazepine (Tegretol). Calcium channel drugs may increase the effects of these medicines.
I hope you didn't decide to taper off the medication without medical supervision. There may or may not be enought med left in your system to control a seizure, but probably not. If you're at risk for seizure you shouldn't be discontinuing your seizure med :-)
Once a seizure is finished, a person will soon start to get back to normal. Within hours or even minutes, they will be fine. If they had a very bad seizure, they may feel unwell for some time, maybe still feeling a little unwell the day after, like still having a bit of a headache. They may not have another seizure for a very long time. So there may be nothing particular that will happen days after a seizure. Everything will be back to normal long before that.
There will be no items in the first aid kit to treat a seizure. Keep the patient from injuring themselves by removing all items that may hurt them while having the seizure.
A patient prone to seizures cannot protect themselves. A seizure causes falls. Once the seizure is underway, the patient needs (primarily) the head and airway protected. Seizure patients may also inhale saliva or vomit, which can then impair breathing.
