∙ 11y agoYes you can. The most common way to get a virus is by downloading items off the internet. Some websites are corrupted and contain viruses in their script. As soon as you connect to a corrupted website, the script is executed and the virus is downloaded and installed onto your computer in the backround. Internet Explorer now has some security measures to help prevent that by disabling scripts from websites.
