Not true. You can get conjuctivitis from cats. It's not likely, but you can. You can also get a cold from them if they have a upper respiratory infection. Cats can also get sick from humans-a few years ago my daughter got the Swine Flu. Both of our cats got it, but not the dog! They were SO sick and feverish. I was very grateful that they fully recovered after getting medical care.
