Dogs can not eat anything humans eat. They will not DIE, but it is not ideal to make them eat it. My dog once was in the garage and opened the bag and there was rice, she survived, but had little burps. As if her body was not meant to eat that.
Don't worry, dogs can live with a TINY of rice.
Some dog foods have rice in as a basic so don't worry about it. Never give a dog chocolate unless it is doggy chocs as it is like poison to them.

What do you mean? A purely rice diet?? Yes, they would get sick because it isn't enough nutrition. But otherwise--as an extra, a treat, to mix with other foods, they brown rice is a fine, easily digested food. White rice is much worthless for them. Foods that will make them sick are grapes and raisins, chocolate (it's deadly!!), an excess of onions or garlic, coffee.
