a newt may eat fish food i tried it with my female and male red spotted newts and they ate it HINT:just sprinkle a little bit of fish food on the top of their water if you put a little to much in they might get sick or die.

I have a terrarium with two red eared sliders, and 2 fire bellied toads along with many fish and other aquatic animals. I was wondering the same question. I have had mine living in a 100 gallon tank with my turtles for about a month now and they seem to get along. In fact, today the frogs were hanging onto the shell of my turtle enjoying a nice little ride. As far as I can tell, as long as there is plenty of food in your tank for the turtles to eat and not think of your frogs as prey they should be fine, but like I said I'm not sure.
Newts can live anywhere where they have water and food.
When taking care of a pet it is important to know how to tell if they are sick or not. A Fire Bellied Newt would be lethargic, and show no interest in food or water if it was sick.
You can buy a Fire Bellied Newt at Petland, but make sure your newt is healthy before buying it. Make sure it is breathing fine, its eyes are open wide and it is eating its food. You may want to make sure it is moving around and that it isnt in a tank with sick newts because like with people, it is contagious. I hope this helps you, and good luck with your newts. I had six newts and here are the names I named them. .Dottie .Jose .Runner .Fishay-Fishay! .Spidey .Spot

Yes a newt is an amphibian. Its relatives are frogs, salamanders, and toads. It is part of the Salamandridea family. They are located in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Red bellied piranhas eat other fish for the most part. They prefer fish that are smaller than them. They also eat fish that swim in schools such as minnows.
