No,they are to small and not strong enough.
Guppies don't get large enought to eat goldfish. They will eat anything they can fit in their mouth. The goldfish might eat your guppies though.-Melchisedek
Its mouth
if the goldfish's mouth couldn't open then it wouldn't be able to eat and it would end up dying.
i thinks so because if a neon fish 2 inches long, a little gold fish can not fit it in its mouth. You should be more worried about the neon fish getting eaten. Goldfish can get up to about a foot but they usually don't get THAT big (mine are about 6"). Goldfish will eat anything that will fit into it's mouth. Whether it is ghost shrimp, or a smaller goldfish, they will eat it.
a) Goldfish (all fish) breathe through their gills b) All fish (Including Goldfish) suck water in through their mouth and pass it through their gill filament's.
If you mean that if they come from their mouth or their bottom, it's bottom
Bettas and goldfish
It depends, if your goldfish are smaller than your algae eater, and big enough to fit in it's mouth, then very much so. If the goldfish are small, but too big to fit into your algae eater's mouth, then he might just injure them. But your algae eater shouldn't be so small that your goldfish could eat it. The rule with fish that I always go by is, if it can fit into it's mouth, it will be eaten.
Only if the "feeder Goldfish" - which is usually just a mutt bred Common/Comet Goldfish, is very small and the Telescope is an adult. If it fits in their mouth, that's where it will end up! However, "feeder" Goldfish have the potential to get over 10"-12" excluding tail fin, and a large one of these could very easily fatally injure a more fragile fancy Telescope Goldfish. The two varieties should never be mixed.
No the male will eat them keep them separate them until they can't fit in the mouth of the goldfish.
They don't. The constant 'Mouthing" is how they breath.
We've had a pond for over 8 years and we've never seen this happen until today. We had a goldfish swim around with a slug in its mouth for over an hour. It looked like it was sucking something from the slug. Not a pleasant sight!
