That would probably be alright as a treat not an everyday diet kinda thing. I fed my horse granola bars with chocolate in them and he still lived. I fed him just plain chocolate too, he liked that. Non-chocolate granola bars should not hurt your horse unless it has a very sensitive stomach.
Horses have been witnessed eating and drinking almost everything, but just because they will doesn't mean they should.Chocolate is a mild stimulant to humans mainly mainly due to the presence of theobromine. It is much more potent for horses, and its use in horse racing is prohibited. In sufficient amounts, the theobromine found inchocolate is toxic to animals such as horses, dogs, parrots, small rodents, and cats (kittens especially) because they are unable to metabolise the chemical effectively. If they are fed chocolate, the theobromine will remain in their bloodstream for up to 20 hours, and these animals may experience epileptic seizures, heart attacks, internal bleeding, and eventually death. Medical treatment involves inducing vomiting within two hours of ingestion, or contacting a veterinarian.
However they can eat Strawberries:)
No it is very bad for them!

It's bad for horses due to the same reason it's bad for cats and dogs; Theobromine.Theobromine cannot be broken down by animals other than humans. In non-human animals it will build up in the system when fed and can cause really bad reactions, even fatal reactions.Theobromine Is also found in; tea, cola beverages, acai berries and a few types of roots and other sweets.
No, chocolate contains Theobromine which is toxic to most animals other than humans. Also if even a small amount is given to a horse is acts as a stimulant which is prohibited in competitions.
Chocolate is not recommended for horses.
Instead, give them treats that you know are tasty and safe.
I wouldn't reccomend it, talk to a proffessional before you try it.
Yes it is toxic.
Yes Chocolate is a drug to horses, the jockey use to give it to the horses that had no chance of winning and they would win in a heart beat because it speeds up there heart, they use to do this before they had fancy drug testing.
Chocolate can be fatal to horses

No protein to horses is like chocolate to dogs
HORSES WILL EAT CHOCOLATE AND STRAWBERRIES AND CONDENSED MILK ;)
Pizza is not bad for horses, however, there are much cheaper ways of feeding horses.
Horses, like dogs will become very ill if chocolate is consumed as it is no good to their digestive system, do not panic if chocolate is eaten by your horse or pony remain calm and call the vet.
Chocolate is not "bad for the Earth". Some practices in the growing, harvesting, preparation and transportation of chocolate may be, but chocolate itself is not.
Chocolate and Lightning
Horses should keep away from Bad Carrots.
YES because all chocolate is bad for all dogs unless you invented chocolate for dogs.
