I would absolutely not apply it to any internal area. But for flesh colored external skin, yes. Internally I would take an acidophilus with DDS in it. The DDS portion turns into Hydrogem Peroxide internally and kills internal yeast on contact. The capsules time release this. But you can't do anything like this with a bottle of liquid Hydrogen Peroxide - poisonous.

I have had seborrhea for 9 years. The yeast is in leasions on my arms, back of the legs and on a facial region between the nose and the lips. Desperate to get better control of it other than using prescription creams, I decided to use a drugstore grade Hydrogen Peroxide on my arms, to test it out. It stings but does kill the surface yeast on contact. I have been treating rather large portions for almost 2 weeks and the areas are now very dried out- flaking skin and normal skin is starting to show up. I have not bled once (unlike the stronger prescription creams I have used in the past). Also, the itching stopped the first day I tried it - an immediate relief.

Now that I know how my arms responded I raised the nerve to try it on my face. The most infected area weeped clear fluid for hours after I put on the hydrogen peroxide the first 2 days. I have been applying it every evening for only 4 days. I found for best results:

1. First wash the area with warm water.

2. Apply hydrogen peroxide with a cotton tip swab to the affected areas.

3. Let it penetrate the skin for about 1 minute.

4. Then wash off with a gentle cleaning lotion like CeraVe cleanser.

5. Follow immediately with an ice cold compress and keep it cold for a few minutes. This minimizes swelling and weeping.

The area will scab up over night. Let it get dry, since yeast feeds on moisture. It is looking a lot better now, but it is very slow. This does beat prescription creams though. I look more presentable than the rugged dried out bloody scabs I had to endure in the past.

I don't know how long it will take for recovery, but I have been eating a Candida diet for the last 1 1/2 week, so that is also contributing to my improvement. I am eating the Rainbow diet - basically a 5 minute stir fry or raw salad that has 7 vegetables and a meat or eggs. I learned about this in "The Candida Albicans Yeast-Free Cookbook" by Pat Connolly. My husband looks at these great quick dishes I am making and now he wants me to make them for him. So at least it taste and looks good.

Just my take on the whole process of living with seborrhea.

Good luck!

What do you get when you combine acetone and hydrogen peroxide?

The acetone and hydrogen peroxide would react with each other to make the high explosive acetone peroxide. An acid such as hydrochloric is commonly used in the synthesis of acetone peroxide, which speeds up the formation if it.
