Yes. it has been done time and time again. I had a 1989 s10 blazer with a 383 v8 and currently and an old truck on an s10 pickup frame with a 355. Do a search on Google for jagsthatrun and you will find a group with all the info and parts you need. you can also do an eBay search (or Google search for that matter) to find various examples. Best of all go to http://www.s-series.org/ there is a discussion forum specifically for v8 on there where people will be glad to walk you through the process and completion.
