You add coolant by opening the radiator cap (when the engine is cool of course). Fill it up to the top just under the filler neck.
There is also a catch can, a clear container that is connected to the top of the radiator by a rubber hose. It "catches" coolant when the heat of the engine expands the coolant. Fill that up to the "MAX" mark.
