However, contacts come in different curvatures, so if you pick one that is not the right curve for your eyes, they will either be too tight not allowing oxygen or moisture to the eyes or too loose which will cause them to be uncomfortable and vision is usually not stable.
-Also, any minus power Rx above -4.00 or +4.00 needs to have a vertex correction since there is a difference in power of a lens when it's on the eye versus in front of the eye. So, it's not usually recommended.
