Changes in places of work: Things that used to be seen as being important in the work place and the relationships between staff at different levels are changing as the economy changes. In part this is due to the change in the structure of employment - the reduction in the proportion of workers in primary and secondary sectors and the increasing importance of the tertiary sector. Particularly important is the growth in information driven businesses. For many people the world of work will not be like that. Working practices are changing.
