Can implantation bleeding be more than just spotting and how many days can it last?

Hi it can last from 1-3 days it can be spotting or a bit of blood in discharge. The colour it can be is pink/red/brown. 1 in 3 women get it. Its nothing like a period much much much lighter

im in the same situation and just as confused. Ive been asking around for the same answer. What the overall consensus seems to be is that you can be spotting even after a positive test. It sounds like the spotting should be brown discharge and not heavy bleeding. Some sites even say that you can still have implantation bleeding 14 days into your pregnancy.

It is too late to be implantation spotting, that usually happens 6 days or so after ovulation (about 3 weeks pregnant). I wouldn't worry about it if it's only "spotting". However if you begin having cramping or the spotting gets heavier I would worry then. I hope you called your doc, just to set your mind at ease.

This could definetly be implantation bleeding if unprotected sex has taking place 10 -14 days before. Implantation bleeding should be much different to a period its alot lighter and only lasts a few hours. If its just like a normal period clotty and dark red then its likely to be an early period expecially if your periods are irregular, if your still in doubt do a home pregnancy test two days after your period would have been due you shoud get an accurate result.

When the sperm has met the egg, the egg journeys through the fallopian tubes, where it travels down into the uterus. Once it arrives into the uterus, it clings onto the walls, and tries to "implant" itself into the uterine lining. This is what is known as Implantation.
