You really should consult a doctor about medication for your toddler and not the internet...there are few people on here with and MD and even if they do, they still need to see the child to accuratly give an answer. Do not use Tylenol with any other products containing acetaminophen. Tylenol is acetaminophen and can cause liver damage if you exceed recommended daily limits. Acetaminophen is in countless OTC products(e.g.) cold syrups, cold aids, prescription pain relievers. Do not OD on acetaminophen;read OTC labels.
No it should not be given to children in combination. TYLENOL (ACETAMINOPHEN) (NSAID) may interact with a variety of other medicines. ADVIL (ibuprofen) (NSAID) Both of the medication are classified: (NSAID;s) = Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug Acetaminophen & Ibuprofen may interact with a variety of other medicines and should not be used in children OR adults in conjunction. When this happens, the effects of one or both of the drugs may change or the risk of side effects may be greater.
It is not safe to give a toddler either of these medications as they can potentially be very harmful to the child. If you need pain relief for your toddler, contact your doctor for advice. If the toddler has a fever, visit your local pharmacy and speak to the pharmacist about appropriate medication.
That would typically not be recommended unless the child has what is known as hyperpyrexia, a stubborn fever that does not respond well to just one of the meds.

Most Doctors would try to avoid having you taking both as together they can thin your blood. However, should you need to take both, as Ibuprofen (Naproxen) is an NSAID and reduces inflammation, you should take only 1000mg's of Tylenol (2 - 500mg tablets) and 2 Ibuprofen (2 - 500mg Ibuprofen) every 6-8 hours as needed for pain & inflammation.
Yes, but I would recommend only taking the Tylenol 3 for the pain. By the way, Aspirin is ibuprofen.
Tylenol is acetaminophen, and Motrin is an ibuprofen. They can be taken together, I am a nurse and have done it many times myself, and for my patients. Just make sure you are giving the appropriate doses of both medications, and then yes, they can be given at the same time.
Take Tylenol instead

How long does it take for Childrens Tylenol tablets and Childrens Ibuprofen tablets to enter the bloodstream?
Eputex, or Dexibuprofen, is safe to take with Tylenol, like ibuprofen is. Suggested staggering eputex and Tylenol, not a mass dose. Same as above, just replace the word Tylenol with suddaphed.
Ibuprofen would be closest, but aspirin is better
Yes Ibuprofen and Zocor can be taken together.
Since Darvocet has Tylenol in it, you cannot take them within 4 hours of each other. Try alternating Darvocet with ibuprofen - take the ibuprofen every 6 to 8 hours, and if you need Darvocet, take it at least 3 hours after the ibuprofen. That way, you won't get too much Tylenol, but it will relieve your pain better.
