no one can prove this to me

Answer II:No, that's why we call it fiction.

Are you calling the Gospels lies? They were written by eyewitnesses. "YOU call it fiction."

When you see Alexander the great resurrected, you will worship him because you didn't believe in the resurrection of Jesus. You'll still have a chance to accept Christ as your savior after the rapture. see christconnection.net God bless you all.

There is no extra-biblical evidence for the crucifixion of Jesus. The only evidence is provided in the gospels, written by Christians long after the event.

Conservative Christians say that because there are four different gospels, two of which were written by disciples of Jesus, this is proof enough of the crucifixion of Jesus. However, the truth of the authorship of the gospels is that they were originally anonymous, only being attributed to the disciples whose names they now bear later in the second century. There is no reason to believe that any of the gospels were really written by any disciple, in fact scholars say they could not have been written by eyewitnesses to the events they portray. Nor do the gospels provide any form of independent testimony to the crucifixion. Scholars have found clear evidence that the Gospels of Matthew, Luke and John all rely, directly or indirectly, on Mark's Gospel as their source for the life and mission of Jesus. Effectively, we only have Mark's Gospel to say that Jesus was crucified, and one Christian source is not strong enough evidence to be proof.

Another source used by the authors of Matthew and Luke for sayings attributed to Jesus was the hypothetical 'Q' document. The 'Q' document never mentions the crucifixion of Jesus.

Roman record do not mention the crucifixion, although this would not be surprising. Neither Josephus nor Philo of Alexandria mentions the event, although it could be expected that both of them would, if they knew anything of it.

Scribes in Palestine and elsewhere in the Roman Empire recorded every unusual celestial occurence, but no one mentioned the great darkness that descended for three hours, and no one mentioned the earthquakes described by Matthew nor the dead rising up from their graves and walking into Jerusalem, where they were seen by many.

The crucifixion may or may not have happened, but there is no proof. At best, some events seem to have been exaggerated.
