Low impact exercise, Yoga, Tai-Chi, walking, swimming etc is ok. It is important for both you and for the baby for you to maintain fitness and flexibility during pregnancy.
But never do excessive exercise or else you might risk your fetus.
Take moderation exercise.
If you do exercises that don't put TOO much strain on the body, and start at the beginning of the pregnancy, you can continue up until 3 weeks before you deliver. In fact it's been said that it's healthy for the baby if the mother keeps up regular exercize routines. I suggest Yoga as a primary exercize. First, you should consult with your OB/GYN. If you don't have one, get one. Follow their advice.
Exercise is generally beneficial in all stages of pregnancy. You want to keep in reasonable shape, because at the end of your pregnancy, you are going to go through a physically tough ordeal. Walking is good, biking is goos until you start to lose your balance, and running is okay as long as you can tolerate it.
Some sports, like Scuba diving, should not be done by pregnant women, as there is not enough data to determine risks to the fetus.
