Nitrobenzene is a carcinogen, look it up on any US website. I have no idea why so many Indian companies are starting to sell it as a fertiliser , I can only assume its a by product of some industrial process. It is not environment friendly. I wouldn't go anywhere near it with a bar of soap. I am a scientist myself and do fertiliser research, I know what I'm talking about. Blame poor regulation of imports by many countries as the reason it is getting around.

No, nitrobenzene should not be used as an organic fertilizer or pesticide.

Specifically, the organic compound in question (C6H5NO2) can be used in dressings, polishes and solvents to cover disagreeable odors. It also can be used-if it is redistilled as oil of mirbane - to perfume soaps. But otherwise, it may be a carcinogen and cause damaging, even fatal reactions upon exposure through contact or ingestion.
