Nurses can discuss your mental health with other professionals who are caring for you. They shouldn't discuss your mental health with others ie freinds, family, unless you are a minor and/or a danger to yourself or others.

What is the role of nurses in spiritual care?
Nurses often see patients throughout the dying process and often patients are concerned about their death and the dying process. If a patient want's to see a chaplain and receive last rites we can arrange that. Often times we sit and talk with the patient and family about what is going on, what's expected and how they can cope.
Why do some nurses have a god complex?
Some nurses have a God complex because they "think" they have "power" since they are the mediator between the patient & the doctor. Sometimes they are overworked with high patient volume ratios 5:1, 6:1. The higher the work load- documentation, meds, teaching, tests, trying to get a hold the doctors for orders, etc, the more stress, anger, resentment towards patients & their families. I am a nurse & felt burnt out. I felt like the doctors always took advantage of nurses when they did not want to do something or talk to the patient/family member, but if they made a mistake they blame it on the nurse. Likewise, I felt like patients/family act like nurses are their personal maids/servants & that even certain basic things they could do for themselves at home they wouldn't do in the hospital. Sometimes nurse are yelled at by patients/family & they spend the most time/know more about what's going. That is why alot of nurses leave & do other things. Who wants to bother with all that drama everyday going to work. Nurses have all the responsibility, but no autonomy. They don't tell you how difficult nursing can be & how other "nurses eat their young." There is also bullying in nursing by other nurses.
When you go to the doctor can they talk about what was said?
They can only talk about your health conditions with other doctors you are seeing and the nurse. They cannot talk to other people about this because of the confidentiality between patient and doctors.
What is patronizing behavior?

some of the nurses don't understand the feelings of the patients, but some people understand it. but im just curious of one thing. why some of the patients are getting well if theyr'e nurses are talking to them? im just curious of how did nurses do that? it is really amazing for me! so i search one of the hospital in here in my country Philippines to ask the nurses about this topic. when i ask some nurses there i was so suprise when she answer's my quetion. my question was. are you having a conversation with your patients? she answers it like this, i always have a conversation with my patients. coz everytime i had a patient i was talking to them because that's the only thing that your patient will trust you. and your too lucky if your patient trust you. because everytime you gave medicine to your patient they will not ask you what is that all that they know is the medicine that you will gave to them is the only way that they will recover or heal them. and having a conversation or talking to your patients is a proper way of being a nurse it will help also to recover your patient the way you talk to them and the way you took care to them. title: effectiveness of positive communication of diabetic patients in pgh. objectives: to be able to determine how positive nurses communicate with the diabetic person. procedure: interview and survey. by: cheermith villarosa

Why Nurses works in call center?
Absolutely. Imagine a call center for health related issues. A caller calls in with some questions about medication and its effects. Two people are available to take the call. One is bright and easy to talk to, but comes from a background in hardware sales. The other is a person who has some nursing coursework on that resume that got the person the job. Which one is better suited to take the call? Which one would you rather talk to about the side effects of steroids that have been prescribed for an inflamatory condition?

Will listen and wont respond in front of other workers. Talk to the person privately on the other hand look into the critics and correct myself
