Can you bring a date to a wedding if the invite doesn't say and guest?

Edicate would dictate that if you RSVPed "coming alone", you shouldn't bring a date. If you marked "plus one" or speak with the wedding party and they say that it is alright, you should be fine bringing someone.

∙ 13y agoAbsolutely NO. If you have the chance to ask the groom or bride for permission it is recommended to do so. If not, it's preferable for you to be miserable then the newly weds :) Besides they probably have the menu ordered for a specific amount of people, and your date will starve! :)

If you are single it is assumed that you may bring a guest, unless the invitiation explicitly states otherwise.
