The Peugeot 306 has a conventional Mcpherson strut front end with coil springs over shocks. The rear end is a solid axle with torsion bars that run across the car linking both arms. There are no rear coil spings.

I believe that the rear air shocks are part of an automatic level control system. There is a level sensor on the rear suspension system and a compressor that fills the shocks to raise the rear end. There is also a valve to release the pressure to lower the rear end.
Raise the rear tires off ground. Spin 1 tire while watching other rear wheel, if both rear wheels spin in the same direction it is a posi-trac rear.
There is no way to tell, but if it was your fault, it could raise as much as 40 percent. Its fu**ed up i know, but true none the less.
