It depends somewhat on where you live and what the laws are there. But the short answer is: generally speaking, yes, the police can do something about it.
Depending on the exact circumstances and location, one (or more) of several things could happen:
* The child could be arrested as a runaway
* The family member could be arrested and charged with the crime of harboring a runaway
* The family member could be arrested and charged with child abduction
* The family member could be arrested and charged with kidnapping
If they are visiting, call the police. If they are living there, you'll have to follow eviction procedures.
Well, simply that the member of the family of the police officer gets arrested. The police officer didn't commit the crime you see, a family member did. Works the same in any family ... being a police officer is a job like anyone else has be that they are a fireman, labor worker, engineer or whatever.
If you still live with your family tell a fmaily member or a trusted adult. Tell a school teacher or something if you are young. If you are older and living on your own you can report him to the police and file a restraining order.
If your boyfriend has changed the locks on you and you were living together and your clothing or anything else you own is still inside then you can either get the police to escort you to your boyfriends and retrieve your belongings or, get a male member of the family to escort you (preferably someone older.) It is illegal for your boyfriend not to give you anything that is yours. If you weren't living together and he has changed the locks that is a clear sign that you are bothering him and he no longer wants you inside the premises.
If you suspect this you should go to the police.
If you think they need to talk to the police then you need to call the police otherwise don't say anything although you can get into trouble if it is found later that you knew you had someone like that and were hiding them.
You just need to tell your family that they need to leave. If they will not, you can call the police to have them removed.
You need to ask your local police this question. Laws vary from state to state. The fact that you have a convicted felon living in your home would indicate to me that common sense would dictate you should not have a gun in this house. Contact your local police or a lawyer about this issue.
You can, but depending on the conviction your family member had they might be more biased towards you.
Answer You could always go on the Internet look up the French Police Stattions where your family member may be liiving or traveling and ask them to help you find that person.
