Yes because your eye shape can change during pregnancy. Sometimes the excess blood flow in your body presses on the optic nerve, and this can change your eye shape, thus affecting how your contacts fit and making your vision blurry. If you are pregnant and your contacts are bothering you, the best thing is just to switch to glasses.

Yes! In fact someone who doesn't wear glasses can also wear colored contacts if an optometrist perscribes them. You do have to have a doctor fit any kind of contact to your eye to make sure they do not harm you or your vision.

How do you get from getting eye redness while wearing contacts?

Well if you mean bloodshot it is probably caused by abrasions(scratches on the eye) from the contact moving as you blink. It irritates your eye until it is red and blood shot. if you have this problem, i do too, you shouldn't wear your contacts and take some type of eye drops. You can wear your contacts when they are healed. Bloodshot eyes can also result from lack of oxygen, as contact lenses restrict the amount of oxygen that can reach your eyes.

When was Fit Pregnancy created?

Do you need another prescription for colored contacts when you already have regular contacts?

In fact yes.., Because after exposing your eyes to contacts for 2-6mos.The cornea should be re-evaluated as well as the quality of tears, But some of the patients go directly to buy contacts without prescription.. As an eye doctor I'll recommend to go for an eye examination first before buying any contacts and let the liscensed optometrist / ophthalmologist decide on which specifications or brands will fit in your eyes.

How does an optometrist work with an ophthamologist?

Optometrists primarily refract (fit) eye glasses and contacts. They also can diagnose many eye diseases but in most states are not allowed to treat eye diseases. Opthalmologists are physicians who then specialize in treatments and surgery of the eyes. They too refract (fit) eyeglasses. Many eye clinics have both O.D. (Doctor of Optometry) and M.D. or D.O. (opthalmologists) but many of both professions practice independently.

Do selling of contact lenses require alicense?

Yes i think you do because contact lenses are a medical device even if it is just to change your eye colour. If you are going to be selling contacts to people then you need their eye measurements so you have contacts that fit there eyes properly to avoid injury of the eye.

Can a prescription from lenss be changed to contact lenss?

While some questionable places will sell you contacts, if it is a new prescription, you should have your lenses fitted. Contacts are not like socks. They must fit your eye or can cause plenty of damage, irritation, blur and pain. The difference is clear. (pun intended!)
