They can, but it is not formulated for them and may cause an upset stomach. Dogs are better off eating high quality dog food, but if your dog likes to raid the cat's dish on occasion, it probably won't do any lasting harm.

∙ 11y agoYes, they can -- and they will try at every opportunity (pugs LIVE TO EAT! ^_^ ), BUT feeding people food is strongly discouraged. Pugs can easily become overweight and suffer problems with their joints, breathing and other conditions which overweight dogs suffer. Additionally, some foods are toxic to dogs (avocado, chocolate and grapes are all dangerous to dogs).
