How do you remove a speed sensor on 2004 Chevy Colorado?

If it is 4x4 remove axle from wheel bearing assembly and then remove the wheel bearing assembly. Make sure the tone ring (looks like a ring with teeth) is still attached to the spped sensor side of the bearing, if not, replace wheel bearing assembly with an assembly that comes with the speed sensor. Replacing a speed sensor without a tone ring is pointless because it won't work.

What will happen if you continue to drive a car with a noisy and clicking front hub wheel bearing with abs sensor?

the wheel bearing will wear out. worst scenario, is the whell will fall off causing considerable damage ,maybe even a wreck. can also cause bearing to get hot , and weld bearing race to axle stub, requiring replacement of this hub it is not a big or expensive job to have a wheel bearing replaced. the ABS sensor is not on the bearing and will not need replacing if you replace the bearings

How do you replaced wheel speed sensor on 05 trailblazer?

Front wheel speed sensors are located on the wheel bearing assemblies. I believe there is one bolt holding the sensor in. Make sure the area near and around the sensor is clean, if you knock any dirt dust into the open sensor shaft it will go directly into your wheel bearing, causing more issues. Pull sensor out firmly and straight. Do no pry sensor out with anything, as you will bust sensor off in shaft. Do not attempt to remove the stainless shim, as it is permanently fixed to the assembly. Clean the area if needed, then insert the new sensor carefully. Again, remember to not get dirt inside of the wheel bearing assembly, or you will be replacing the entire assembly soon enough.

Where is the abs sensor located on a 2002 grand am?

The ABS sensor is located in the front wheel bearing. The is one on either side, so you will need a mechanic to pull the error code out of the car's computer to determine which side it is. You must replace the entire wheel bearing to fix the sensor, but chances are that if the sensor goes the wheel bearing is leaking. The wheel bearing is a sealed unit and should not leak, but over time, water, grime, and wear, it may begin to no longer be sealed. Buy a new wheel bearing and install it your self if you want. All you have to do is take off the wheel, the brake caliper, the rotor, and finally the bearing itself.
