Some rocks grow and caves are one of the few places you can see it happen. Of course, rocks do not grow like you do and they get bigger over thousands of years. You could watch all day and not see any growth.
Igneous
As molten rock begins to cool elements began to bond forming minerals, these precipitate and sink to the bottom of the magma body, until the elements have all found themselves in a solid state
The initial stage of rock development is the formation of separate minerals. The formation of a mineral is known as nucleation where the elements of a mineral began to bond together forming a tiny seed mineral. Once the seed has reached a certain size the elements will readily bond and grow the mineral larger. The trick is that the mineral nucleus must overcome an energy state that is higher than the bonds the elements have in the mineral seed, which isn't fully understood yet.
Sedimentary
As rocks are weathered and erode they travel to an area of low energy befitting there size, density and environment, as more sediment is deposited the rocks below began to become consolidated and lithified.
Metamorphic.
similar to Igneous except it is often in a semi solid semi molten state allowing migration of elements to areas of similar energy states. often causes a transformation of the mineralogy due to different pressure temperature environments it is subjected to.
Rocks can grow because even though they are nonliving things they grow as the magma cools down. I know that and I'm 11
Rocks change form they can change from different kinds of rocks or sandstone or whatever you may call it yet I do not think they grow in size but they can form with other rocks
because the soild on the rock and the moss it grow trees
No, because a rock is not alive. Growth is a characteristic of living things.
A body of rock can become larger as magma cools, or as lithification continues. So it is possible to say that some rock does increase in size.
If the rocks have enough nutrients that are important for plants and can be broken down into dirt or soil, then they could help a plant grow.
Crystals, which are a type of rock, can grow in the right conditions. For the most part, rocks do not grow.
Oranges grow in groves.
palm trees
All trees grow straight up. :D
if trees were to grow under other trees , there would be a a mixture in the roots of the trees ,which will make it impossible for the trees to grow properly....i think that is why trees tend not to grow under other trees...
physicly, money doesn't grow on trees. but money is made out of paper, and paper comes from trees. so money doesn't grow on trees but the trees make paper, which makes money. hope u enjoyed ur answer!
in moist, dark patches of trees, rocks and soil
They don't grow or live on all rocks. The only time that mosses will grow on rocks is if those rocks are wet with moisture all the time. If they (the rocks) are not wet with moisture all the time, moss will not grow on them. Moss also grows on the north-side of trees, since that is the wettest part of the trees, and because the sun does not get at the north-side of the trees, thus being unable to dry that moist area up.

rocks, limestone, animals, ice, trees, water, springs, soil, trees
paper doesn't grow! the trees grow and we make the trees into paper! paper doesn't grow! the trees grow and we make the trees into paper!
Organisms that grow on the sides of trees, rocks, and logs are often various types of lichens and mosses. Lichens are a symbiotic association between fungi and algae or cyanobacteria. They can be found on a variety of surfaces, including tree bark, rocks, and soil. Mosses are small, non-vascular plants that thrive in moist environments, and they are commonly found on the sides of trees, rocks, and logs. Both lichens and mosses play important roles in ecological processes and contribute to the biodiversity of their habitats.
I think you are referring to lichen, not "linchen." Lichens are a type of fungi that grow on rocks and even trees in different colours and shapes.
No, but wouldn't that be cool?!?
the mist on the top of the mountains suck into the mountains, the trees automatically grow! confusing isn't it?
Yes, they grow in trees.
bologna does not grow on trees.
some grow on trees and some grow on the ground
