Yes, it's recommended that you freeze anything you can overnight (8+hrs). I have put my pillow, sheets, and clothing that I would wear whilst I awaited the perm cream (Rx) to take affect. Then just slept on the couch over the next 36+hrs to avoid coming in contact with the mites again. They cannot live outside the body for any longer, so simply quarantine yourself accordingly while using the freezing method. Scabies can also be gotten rid of by boiling, but that's too much work when you have a freezer :) I steamed my floors with one of those Shark branded floor cleaners daily as well and froze my shoes every night while alternating between pairs until the 36+hrs passed.

∙ 9y agoNo, scabies cannot be killed by extreme cold. However, they can be killed by taking a prescription of Topical Permethrin 5 percent and oral Ivermectin.

∙ 12y agoScabies can not survive in extreme hot or cold conditions. According to sources, scabies will die within 12-72 hours in a freezer, much faster than normal conditions without a host.
