I have never heard of anything like that but if your spine is curved at like a 75 degree angle it can effect your breathing. But that rarely happens.
Yes it can, I was diagnosed w/ scoliosis at the age of 10. I wore a back-brace for years, recently (I am now 27), I went to my doctor due to Back pain. I have always had stomach issues but never thought the two problems were related until my doctor suggested taking x-rays. I was told that my curve is putting pressure on my bowels and colon, (squishing them), so food and waste are travelling through a smaller area than they should be. She told me I should be eating several smaller meals a day rather than 3 large ones, chew very thoroughly and eat slowly, but suggested I start seeing an orthopedist again for the pain and possible bowel/colon complications. The change in diet has helped somewhat but I am making an appointment with a specialist and will let you know any information I gather but I suggest you speak with a Dr. since they can be related and you can have complications from it. Hope I helped, Good Luck
Certain foods can cause the stomach to act funky such as spicy, fried, and oily foods. These types of foods can definitely cause bowel problems such as constipation and diarrhea. A good way to make sure bowel movements are consistent and get the digestive system on track is to higher the fiber content in your diet.
