In point of fact, the bacterial content of their mouths is cleaner than ours. But, there are numbers of diseases that can pass between dogs and humans -- various pin worms for example. You want to be wormy?
If you're sharing a safe treat, fine, but just hand it to 'em. Better yet, put it in their food bowl. Eat from the same table service and you'll catch something you don't want sooner or later.

Some people will eat meat first; then potatoes; then vegetables while others may do it the complete opposite. It does not really matter in what rotation you eat your food, just don't pile different foods on your fork (with the exception of a salad where everything is already mixed together.)
