No. If it's small enough for the Goldfish to try and eat it, it will. If it's a larger type of crab, like Fiddler or Rainbow, then these need salty water and land to get out on and will try and catch and eat a Goldfish.

∙ 14y agoCrayfish will sneak around and grab at goldfish and rip off bits and pieces. This usually happens when the goldfish are resting at night. They should not be kept with any species of fish if you want the fish to remain in one piece.

if you have a very aggressive betta fish, placing them with any kind of crab is probably not the best idea. Crabs, even if they are mostly non-aggressive, can rip a betta's long tail and fins to pieces! Bettas could also bother the crab, and then you have a full blown fight on your hands! If you really want to put them together though, watch them carefully for any signs of aggression.
