Just join one of the growing number of online address books for people that place your name (on your profile) high up in the search engine results and provide a search alert service. When someone Googles your name, the profile will be clearly visible in the search engine results and be an obvious target to investigate. The moment they have clicked your profile, you will be alerted by email with such information as the searchers IP address, which town and country the searcher is based in, the keyword used to find you and the search engine being used. Of course it won't pick up every time you are being Googled because it depends on your profile being clicked - but if its truly you they are searching for, the chances are they will click your profile.

For instance, if you typed in "John Doe" and came across John Doe's website and clicked on it and he had installed a stats counter program, he could see that his name was used to find his site. Stats programs can give a lot of information about site visitors, but it would take a pretty advanced computer geek to figure out exactly who googled him.
