Best Answer

Yes, they could. Unless they were experiencing very regular and very severe seizures, a person with epilepsy can do a lot of things. A gunsmith in the whole of their health is going to take standard precautions and isn't going to work irresponsibly with a gun, like cleaning the trigger of a loaded gun and having it pointing at themselves or someone else. So there is very little danger involved. While having a seizure someone is not going to pick up a gun and shoot themselves or someone else. Most people know when they are going to have a seizure, as they feel it coming on, so there would be time to take any necessary precautions.

Does epilepsy cause someone to be very dreamy and switched-off?

During a minor or what is called a petit mal seizure, someone can appear that way. More serious seizures will cause greater problems and someone may collapse or become unconscious. Epilepsy only causes a problem when the person is having a seizure. When someone with epilepsy is not having a seizure they will act normally and will not appear dreamy or switched off.

What is the average life span age of someone with epilepsy that is uncontrolled?

Epilepsy is not fatal in its own right. Someone could die if they get a seizure in the wrong circumstances, such as driving a car or taking part in some dangerous activity. Obviously someone with uncontrolled Epilepsy should not be taking part in dangerous activities without medical advice or supervision. It is those kind of factors that have to be taken into consideration. Even if someone has uncontrolled epilepsy, they could live a long time. Someone with well controlled Epilepsy could have a seizure in a dangerous situation too. So there is no real definitive answer to your question.

Is there an epidemic for epilepsy?

Epilepsy is not an infection. You cannot "catch" epilepsy off someone. It is a physical conditional. If someone had a broken arm and was sitting beside you, you could not catch their broken arm off them, like you could catch a cold off them if they had one. So no, epilepsy does not spread.

What is the causative agent of epilepsy?
