I don't know if Hall's Cough Drops has an herbal formula, so I don't think it can cure a sore throat. Herbal cough drops with echinacea and goldenseal are an excellent remedy though when taken with herbal capsules as well.
No. Halls only provides temporary relief. See a doctor to get a medical prescription.
To swallow live spiders in butter. Gross, right?
people stuck a pipe down their throat and when the did they would put water on their neck. crazy but true
Time is the only cure for the cough. You can do a few things in the meantime while waiting for your throat to heal. First, you have to consider what the steps are that led you to having a cough. Some foreign particle, whether an allergen, bacterium or virus has entered your body either via the nose or mouth and has attached itself to the wall of your sinus cavity or throat. Second, your body goes through the self defense steps to fight the invader. Elevated temperature, over-production of phlegm to cover the particle and the cough to remove this excess phlegm. When all is done, this leaves the throat raw and devoid of this protective layer, so the cough continues. As the cough is a necessary step in the healing process, you don't have a lot of control over it except for taking an antihistamine to stem the flow of a runny nose. You can take cough syrup, throat lozenges or even hard candy (preferrably sugarless) to keep the throat coated until it heals. Warm cider drinks, teas and coffee also soothe an irritated throat. Keep in mind that a cold is contagious if the person has a phelgm productive cough.

First you need a proper diagnosis of the cough and then the proper prognosis for a treatment plan. Most coughs are due to infection or allergies and can be treated with antibiotics or allergy treatments. Some coughs are suppressed with cough medications and perhaps a narcotic to relax the lung muscles.
Water has no known medicinal benefit, but can act as a therapeutic way to help the symptoms associated with a cough. Dryness, hoarseness and throat pain can all be relieved by drinking water. In addition, consuming water may help to moisten the trachea/throat and wash away the mucous that accumulates during a cough,
No they do not. They may help with a sore throat associated with a cold though. There is no cure for a cold. However...taking pain medication such as norco, percocet, or any other narcotic pain reliever can make your entire body feel better. Codine is used in cough meds to help w that.
