This might help... http://www.2carpros.com/how_to/power_window.htm
You'll probably need to buy a new power window motor, if it's power window, that is.
The 1988 Chevrolet Blazer tailgate window motor might be bad and need to be replaced. The window motor fuse might be blown and needs to be replaced.
check to see if the window switch of the driver's side is getting power, if you are getting power to the switch and the switch is sending power out to the motor but the motor is not responding the motor needs to be replaced
apparently the window motor is bad and will need replaced.
I used two rubber door stops on the inside of the window until I got the power window motor and assembly replaced.
It is in the door. I suggest you take it to a trim shop to have it replaced.
You don't let some else do it. I say this from experience on a 2004 The motor is separate I used the old motor and replaced the regulator. I had to drill out rivets OH ya I BROKE the window drilling out the rivets that hold the window onto the regulator. after that I reattached the motor assembly with bolts and nylon lock nuts. then went to a glass shop to have the window replaced.
The power window regulator is defective. It is a plastic tape that can be easily replaced.
if power goes to motor and still don't work.motor is bad.make sure there is power going through.ck fuse, relay.or with a jump wire directly to positive motor connector
