if you are asking this question you should not be doing the job get a professional to do itI wish the people that gives answers like get a professional to do the job just shut up. We ask the questions not to get the obvious answers like get a hyens manual or go to the dealer. We want to do the job ourselves and if you don't know how to do it don't make a comment. I live in the rural area of South Africa and the closest dealer is like 1500Km from me so I need to do my repairs myself, but nobody have real answers. I need to change the timing belt on my Citroen Picasso xsara 1.6i 2002 model and want to know where the timing marks are or how set it. I suspect that the timing is out a bit and needs to check it for good measure.JJwiese

Even so eclipse uses distributor based ignition system, I'm not sure that you can adjust timing. The timing you can adjust is idle timing. But it basically never needs to be adjusted.
