No braking lights is usually caused by the failure of the switch behind the brake pedal. It's a fairly easy job to replace, but check it isn't a simple fuse failure first

How do the door mirrors fold on a Citroen Picasso 2.0 HDi?

If your car is fitted with this feature ('Exclusive' models), then you rotate the mirror adjustment dial to the down position. Turning the dial back up will unfold them.

Do not attempt this if you do not have the Exclusive version, or if your mirror adjustment panel does not have a white triangle in the 'down' position. Forcing the dial to turn down can break the connections inside, and you will have to replace the adjuster.

Your hazard lights flash on their own in your Citroen Xsara Picasso?

If this occurs under heavy braking (i.e. ABS has kicked in), then the hazard lights will start flashing. They will turn themselves off after a few seconds of normal driving.

If it occurs whilst generally driving along, it could be a bad connection in the hazard light switch, or something more technical inside the car itself.

How do you remove the battery from your Citroen Picasso?

The battery is located under the passenger seat in the Picasso. Caution should always be used when removing the battery as apparently it can corrupt the cars computer system if disconnected incorrectly. Everything should be switched off and all doors closed for at least 3 minutes before disconnecting, to allow the computer to go to sleep. If this is not followed then the software can be corrupted. Do not operate any equipment for the 3 minutes before disconnecting. (Check out the Citroen 3 minute rule)

Do house and car keys contain toxic levels of lead?

Another person wrote: "I have never heard this one before. I think it is very unlikely as lead is a very soft metal and would not be able to withstand the constant turning of the key before it wore away and the key would be totally useless. This is so unlikely it is not even on www.snopes.com as an urban myth."

However, toxic levels of lead in house and car keys is common. Please see the following fact sheet for families and DO NOT let your children chew on or play with keys!

http://www.ucsfchildcarehealth.org/pdfs/factsheets/leadinkeysen011804.pdf

Lead may also be present in many common household objects from miniblinds to costume jewelry to powercords. It's dumb for countries to allow lead to be used in these items, but of course we get even dumber the more lead we use.
