I would not suggest running away. I have moved out and am in the process of trying to get my emancipation. I would suggest reading up on minor emancipation and try that. If you run away they can drag you right back home and you may even get arrested. So my suggestion is that you try things the legal way first. But let me tell you if you have good parents and a good life, embrase it as long as you can. I have had a horrible life and bad parents that is my resoning for moving out. And also if you have been having sex your parents have every right to take him to court for statitory rape even though it may have been consintual you are still a minor and the courts still see it as rape. But just try things the legal way first so that no one gets in trouble.

Thank you for listing a state, because the laws do vary somewhat by state. In Minnesota: If you are under 18 and you leave home without your parents consent, then you are considered to be a runaway. Once the police locate you, they will return you to your home. If there is an abusive home situation, they might take you to a shelter instead, but they will not allow you to remain with your boyfriend. The police can also give you a ticket/citation and then you

if you just turned 17 the worst that could happen is your parents could file a missing child report and would have to go home unless you were to terminate your parents rights but you would have to go to court for that. If you are about to turn 18 you could be accused of statitory rape and you could get in big trouble for that

Yes, he can get in trouble. The specific laws vary depending on where you live, but most states have laws along the line of harboring a runaway/interferring with custody of a minor/etc.

Nothing as long as she wants it and takes no action. If she does run away, she can be declared a runaway and the police will return her to her home or place her in a foster home.
