Type F or FA Transmission Fluid is the replacement for type G transmission fluid. Some people prefer Dexron because it gives a softer shift and is acceptable to use also.
The transmission dipstick is on the front of the engine on the drivers side. This is the place to check as well as add transmission fluid.
