i would also like to know this, i have an unused desktop computer and i was wondering if i could use my Xbox 360 wireless adaptor on it to connect to my router, as the desktop doesnt have a wifi card installed, an answer would be great !!
Yes You Do
You can purchase the xbox wireless adaptor if you have a wireless network in your house. It will set you back $100 though. Otherwise break out the drill and run some cable.
No unless a neighbor has internet which then it has to be unlocked or you have to get the wireless network's password.
Either on a wireless network or ethernet. Just plug your ethernet cord from your xbox to your computer. or on a wireless network choose the computer you wish.
No. It only allows you to connect to the internet.
A computer is not needed to connect to the internet for Xbox. It is required to have a wireless adaptor that will allow the xbox to access the internet
You need a ethernet cable. First go to Network Connections in the control panel. then highlight the wireless adaptor and ethernet adaptor right click and click "bridge connections" then you should be able to access live on the xbox with the ethernet cable in the xbox and your laptop have a look on youtube there is a few vids up there. If you want wireless, you need a wireless adaptor. They're available on eBay.
No it doesn't. To enable wireless network connection you will need to buy the same adaptor that is used on both the 60GB & Arcade consoles.
I am not going to say it is impossible for a different adapter to work, just unlikely . The Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter was made specifically for that purpose, so it is unlikely that a normal adapter will work if attached to the Xbox as they most likely will not be compatible.
N is a type of network connection which is faster then the G type. Your Internet speed is not faster then the G so you don't really need the fancy new wireless adaptor if you have the first one.
no its inside of it
Yes. Only the Xbox 360 S has built-in wireless.
