probably not because the LEGO is a slick surface and the water based paint would just slide off. i would try using acrylic paint instead.
Tremclad spray paints work on Lego
Yes, acrylic paint should work when applied to Lego. It is recommended that you apply a varnish afterwards.
If I am not oversimplifying the question....water based opaque paint is just a latex or acrylic paint or enamel. If it is in reference to painting a structural item, it is the same paint that you would find at the "paint" store or building supply store. If it is in reference to art work, it might be similar paint, but not "watercolor". Hope this helps!
Unfortunately combining oil and water in paint always results in disaster. Oil based paints must be thinned with solvent. Brushes used to paint oil based paints also need to be cleaned with solvent.
Use oil based enamel paint.
you use a paint thinner.if it smells strong then it will work
You can use either a water base or an oil base primer over bare pine, followed by a topcoat or two of either base paint. If its a high traffic or heavy wear area inside, I'd suggest an oil based paint. If it just gets occasional cleaning, then water based will work great! And now, you can actually buy water based alkyds, so there you have the best of both worlds.
why do you want to work for lego
You " CAN ", but it is not advisable!AnswerSand the painted area so that it is rough. Then the adhesive will work better.
Turpentine is a petroleum based solvent. Oil based paints work by allowing the petroleum based carrier to evaporate. The turpentine will redissolve the paint and allow it to be removed.
LEGO Mindstorms was created between a collaboration with LEGO A/S and the MIT media lab. It was based on the work of different professors and graduate students. No ONE person invented it, but many inspired it! :=
Yes, however clear polyurethane has a yellow cast that will affect the color of the paint. Most water based clears are crystal clear, very durable and can be used in place of an oil-based clear coating.
