Most countries charge a different price for stamps on post within the country than they charge for post which is going abroad. Normally if mailing with the USPS it is now .45 cents (you can purchase Forever Stamps which will be good forever even with a postal rate increase) as long as it is not overweight or bigger than the average size office envelope. A standard rate stamp (.45) will take a letter anywhere in the continental US, regardless of the zip code. (keeping in mind the size and weight)
