moving the distributor will change the firing order. not the timeing.
That sounds like your timing is off. Adjust it at the distributor cap with a timing light.
No.
you rotate the distrubuter with the use of a timing light. I suggest that you get the Clymer manual before you attempt this, as the timing being off can ruin your engine.
The timing is computer controlled, there is no adjustments. I know this is a little late, but timing could be off because the timing belt is not properly aligned. If the timing belt is installed incorrectly the timing will never be right.
To adjust the timing take off the timing cover, take off belt and then line up the marks on the timing gear. You will need a special tool to hold the gears if it is a DOHC(duel over head cam)
how do i adjust the ignition timing on a 1990 suzuki gsx 750f
adjust timing 4.3 V8 engine
You cannot adjust timing its done in the ecu
There is a idle screw on the throttle linkage on the carb that you can turn to increase the idle speed and then hook up your timing light to check the timing.
The water pump is the tensioner for the timing belt. if you need to adjust it, replace it.
