Yes, my wife missed a period and called to the doctors, after examining her he told her she was 3 month pregnant or having twins, she went for a scan and it turned out she was 3 month pregnant even though she had regular periods before hand, its quite rare but it can happen.

Typically, most woman cannot get pregnant 2 days after their period because the average woman's cycle (time between periods) is 28 days and they typically ovulate (drop the egg to be fertilized) every 28 days. So, you can calculate 14 days you have your period, 14 days later you ovulate and can get pregnant, 14 days later your period, 14 days later you ovulate and can get pregnant. Now that is ASSUMING that you are regular. However, not all woman are regular and 28 days. So if you have your period for 5 days for example and then 2 days later may have gotten pregnant then that would mean that you ovulated at 7 days instead of 14 and that IS POSSIBLE. The best thing to do is go to the doctor. Call your local health department if you do not have insurance and they will send you to a doctor at low or no cost to you. If you are not pregnant they can help with other forms of Birth Control. Keep in mind that there are many venereal diseases (VD) that can cause you to miss a period and having NOT used a condom this may be more likely than pregnancy It is better to find out sooner rather than later as you may get scar tissue from certain VD's that could cause you to have a hard time getting pregnant when you are ready to have a baby.
