in fact u can make a bit over 300 hp and about 325 ft lb. u need heads that will flow better a cam that has good lift and duration a exhaust to help scavange and you will be reving out some serious numbers form that little engine, everyone will tell u to build a 350, but 307s are cheep and respond well to upgrades. and you will be able to cruse with less of a dent in your wallet on fuel cost.
Horsepower TV - 2006 Ultimate Small Block Budget Build was released on: USA: January 2011
They made a few versions of it. I would have to know which motor you have.
They actually made several different versions of that motor...
Depends on motor if it has a stock 350 small block probably about 290-320
The 390 Ford motor is an FE block and was made as a Big Block only. The small block or Windsor motor could be bored and stroked to have 390+ cubic inches. To build a stroker motor you have to do extensive machine work and parts matching. That process usually involves large amounts of money.
The original horsepower for a 400 small block, cast number 395-1509, was 295. The 400 small block engine had many variations resulting in different amounts of horsepower.
it depends
185, to 200.
First of all is that a 350 is not a big block. It is a small block.
Advertised Horsepower is : 140HP @ 4000 RPMS. stright out of book.
10 horsepower.
Chevrolet did not build the 283 in 1968. The 1967 Chevy 283 had from 195-315 hp depending on how it was set up.
