Can you but a gun

We may have two two questions here- can you BUY a gun, and can you BUILD a gun? And the answer to both is: That depends. BUYING a gun depends on the laws where you live- your age, background, and the type of gun. In general, you will need to be an adult, without a history of criminal conduct or mental illness. BUILDING a gun requires tools and knowledge. While there have been (and in some places, still ARE) gunmakers that work with primitive tools, guns produce very high pressures when fired. A gun that is improperly fitted, or uses the wrong material can be very dangerous to the shooter. Rather than give you instructions, and then lay awake at night wondering if you still have your fingers, I am going to refer you to the closest library. Ask your librarian for a book on gunmaking, and learn some of the work that goes into building a good quality firearm. By the way- in most of the US, it is perfectly legal to build your own gun IF you are an adult, and not prohibited from owning guns. It may not be a restricted firearm, such as a machinegun or short barreled shotgun (they require special permits)- but many people build their own handguns and rifles.
